Early Childhood Program
Welcome to the Early Childhood Program at Lipscomb Global School, where we provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for children ages 3 to 5. Our program is designed to foster curiosity, creativity, and social-emotional development, laying the foundation for a lifelong love of learning.
Philosophy
At Lipscomb Global School, we believe that the early years are critical in shaping a child’s future. Our Early Childhood Program is based on the principles of child-centered learning, play-based exploration, and individualized instruction. We recognize the unique talents and interests of each child and strive to create a supportive and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.
Curriculum
Our curriculum is developmentally appropriate and aligned with best practices in early childhood education. It is designed to promote growth across all areas of development, including cognitive, social, emotional, and physical domains. Through hands-on activities, interactive experiences, and guided play, students explore concepts in literacy, numeracy, science, social studies, and the arts.
Key Components of Our Program
Play-Based Learning: We believe that play is the primary vehicle for learning in early childhood. Our classrooms are enriched with engaging materials and open-ended experiences that encourage exploration, imagination, and problem-solving.
Social-Emotional Development: We prioritize the social and emotional well-being of our students. Our teachers foster positive relationships, teach conflict resolution skills, and create a supportive classroom community where every child feels valued and respected.
Language and Literacy: Through storytelling, vocabulary development, phonemic awareness activities, and early literacy experiences, students develop strong language skills and a love for reading and writing.
Mathematics: Students engage in hands-on math activities that promote number sense, pattern recognition, spatial reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
Science and Discovery: Our science curriculum encourages curiosity and inquiry. Students explore scientific concepts through observation, experimentation, and discovery, developing critical thinking skills and a deeper understanding of the natural world.
Creative Arts: Art, music, and movement are integral parts of our curriculum. Students express themselves creatively, develop fine motor skills, and explore different artistic mediums and techniques.
Parent Involvement
We believe that parents play a crucial role in their child’s early education journey. We encourage open communication, collaboration, and partnership between home and school. Parents are invited to participate in classroom activities, attend workshops, and engage in regular dialogue with teachers about their child’s progress and development.
